Emergency Paediatric First Aid

This course will give carers the knowledge and skills to deal effectively with a medical emergency until the arrival of a more qualified first aider or the emergency services. 

Successful candidates who attend the full day will be awarded the Emergency Paediatric First Aid Certificate, which will be valid for 3 years.

This is a mandatory course and needs to be completed every 3 years.

  • Managing an incident
  • Unconsciousness/Recovery positions (baby, child & adult)
  • Resuscitation (baby, child & adult)
  • Seizures
  • Choking
  • Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Minor Injuries
  • Role & responsibilities of the paediatric first aider
  • Control of Bleeding
  • Accident reporting

When attending for the Face to Face training there will be no lunch provision and you are asked to bring your own.
