Working Cross Culturally: Building Confidence and Curiosity

This interactive course is designed for social workers and professionals working with children, young people, and adults (or would you prefer professionals/practitioners?) who want to strengthen their confidence and curiosity when working across cultures.
Using the Assessment Framework Triangle through a cultural lens, the course supports practitioners to explore how culture, identity, and lived experience shape family life, communication, and assessments.
You’ll take part in practical, reflective learning using case studies, tools, and discussion to bring theory into real-world practice.

What you’ll gain:

  • Practical ways to approach family visits and assessments sensitively and respectfully
  • Skills to ask curious, thoughtful questions that build trust rather than barriers
  • Tools to capture, analyse, and triangulate information accurately while remaining culturally aware
  • Greater confidence engaging with families from diverse backgrounds and experiences

Who this course is for:
